Simple Sgraffito

Step 1: Cover the leather hard pot with colored slip or underglaze (I used teal blue Amaco Velvet Underglaze)

Step 2: Wait for the slip/underglaze to dry

Step 3: Carve out desired design with a carving tool (I used the PF1 carving tool from Diamond Core Tools)

Step 4: Brush off hanging clay bits with a soft paintbrush.
